Today is a special day for me – my Bar Mitzvah day. This is a moment that symbolizes the transition from childhood to adulthood, no longer a child, but an adult who accepts responsibility. In my thirteen years, I have been blessed with so much goodness from the people around me every day. I would like to thank them here and now. First and foremost, to my amazing parents, who always guide me faithfully. I love you for everything you do, and I want you to be proud of me forever. To my dear Grandpa Shimon and Grandma Rachel, who are always there. You give life meaning to me. I hope you will always be with me, and that your lives will be filled with flowers and smiles. To my siblings, who sometimes annoy me, but are always there for me. I love you and hope we stay united and close. To my uncles and aunts, who are always there for me, helping me distinguish between the trivial and the essential. I appreciate you so much and always feel loved. To my dear and mischievous cousins, who bring joy to my life in many situations. I hope I will stay close to you and be your friend. To my friends, who accompany me in my daily life, I hope we will remain friends both in middle school and after marriage. And just before I finish – I want to bow my head and remember my late Grandpa Aharon, who was my godfather. Finally, I want to promise my dear parents that I will strive to be a good and diligent student, to do everything that is required and needed. Twelve years ago, I came into this world, a sweet and cute baby of them all. A great happiness filled your hearts back then, and today – I am celebrating my Bar Mitzvah with you. For me, this is a day full of meaning, I am now an adult and taking responsibility. In my thirteen years, I have been blessed with so much goodness, from everyone who loves me and is close to me. On this important day – I want to express my gratitude to all those who have invested effort and work in me. First and foremost, to my amazing parents, who have faithfully guided me day and night, with their love and dedication, giving me values. With your help, parents, I will walk better on the paths and roads ahead. To my wonderful siblings, Lior and Osher. With you, life is doubly beautiful. Although we occasionally argue, most of the time, we help each other. I want you with me for many years, your insights always broaden my understanding. Thanks to my uncles and aunts, it's always fun to spend time with you, discovering new and hidden places. With the permission of my dear parents, my teachers, and with the permission of the esteemed guests, I will thank Hashem greatly with my mouth, and within the congregation I will praise Him. Blessed are You, Hashem, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this time, to merit becoming a Bar Mitzvah and performing the commandments. The Creator has given us 613 commandments, among them the precious mitzvah of tefillin. Our sages in Masechet Berakhot, Daf 12, said: “He who wishes to accept the yoke of the kingdom of Heaven in its entirety, should first wash his hands, put on tefillin, recite the Shema, and pray, and this is the complete kingdom of Heaven.” The donning of tefillin is the crown and glory of Israel. Our holy sages took great pride in the fact that they never walked four cubits without tefillin, and it is said that Rabbi’s entire life was without Torah, tefillin, and tzitzit. This mitzvah was their glory and their pride. Inspired by the words of our sages, I am moved and excited to fulfill the mitzvah of tefillin. I pray to our Father in Heaven to illuminate my path and guide me on the right path, the path of my grandfather ______. On this occasion, I want to thank my dear parents, who have worked tirelessly and invested all their strength in me. May Hashem fulfill all your wishes for good and blessing. To my dear sister ______ and my other siblings ______, may Hashem bless you and guide you on the right path. Before we proceed, I want to acknowledge my parents – the two most important people in my life, who do so much for me. I greatly appreciate everything they do, and I hope to be worthy of their love. I also want to mention my wonderful extended family. To my grandmother ______, whom I visit every week, and who always prepares delicious treats for me. I wish her health and happiness for many years to come. Before I conclude, I want to remember my grandfather ______, of blessed memory, who was a special and beloved person. He is deeply embedded in my heart, and I miss him dearly at this Bar Mitzvah celebration. I hope to succeed in life, to be happy, and to fulfill all the expectations placed upon me, while bringing much joy to those dear to me. I will strive to be a happy person. Thirteen years ago, I came into this world, a cute, talented, and smart child. I quickly grew into a world of charm, and I join the chosen people, the people of the Torah, who have protected us from all harm and danger. I love to learn but hate to put in the effort, and in the end, good grades come. I love to draw and have talent, but for the sake of the computer, I’ve abandoned the pencil. On this festive day, I want to thank those who make it possible for me to live a good life. First and foremost, thank you, Creator of the world, who watches over me day and night. A huge thank you to you, my wonderful mother, whose love is greater than anything and who watches over me. Thank you for your great patience and listening, filling my life with so much love. To you, my mother, for endless pampering, there are no words enough to thank you. On this special day, I wish you an abundance of health and much strength. May I give you all the good in the world, because you deserve it, and for you, it exists. Thank you also to you, dear father, for the ability to make me happy. Reaching the age of adulthood is fun, but being 12 is not easy at all. Everyone tells me: "You're already grown up. You need to behave differently now," or, "Where are you in such a hurry?" And all we want is for our parents to try being grown-ups too, leave us alone, and go occupy themselves with other things. And now, seriously – Mom, I want to thank you today for bringing me here safely, and for giving me a life that feels like a dream. You don’t withhold anything from me – neither now nor in the past. And also, thank you, Dad. You always show me love. You never forget to spoil me, whether up close or from afar. And I also want to thank my little sister. Even though we argue and even fight, whenever I need help, she helps without hesitation. And how can I not mention here Grandma ______, Grandma ______, and Grandpa ______, who create such a mess for me? They always advise, always worry, hug, kiss, and pamper me. And finally – dear guests. I must not forget to mention one absent guest. Grandpa ______ with the belly and the beard, in the pictures with the family, traveling in the caravan. I’m sure he would have been happy with us. He always embraced us with love. In the book "The Wizard of Oz," the Scarecrow says: "I wish for brains, not a heart, because a foolish person doesn't know what to do with a heart, even if he has one." And the Tin Man replies: "I choose the heart, because brains do not bring happiness, and happiness is the greatest thing in the world."
